Thursday December 12th

Hip Hip Hooray friendly frogs had a wonderful day! I am proud to say that all my friendly frogs earned themselves two marks today. Today we enjoyed painting sleds and the class enjoyed playing with little people that they choose for our fun center today. The friendly frogs enjoyed dancing to some silly songs before we practiced our program songs and we had a mini photo shoot taking silly pictures. We were going to have a movie day on Monday December 23rd but were going to have a center wide movie day Friday December 20th everybody it going to enjoy some popcorn and Polar Express! Remember next Wednesday December 18th is Christmas spirit day hope to see all the kids dressed in their Christmas best :)

Wednesday December 11

Friendly frogs had a great day today we all enjoyed making hand print gloves today and liked painting our snowflakes yesterday. We were able to practice on the stage again today and did much better then yesterday just have to be reminded to sing and not scream. Only two days until our program hope we can keep up the good work and perform well on Friday! I feel like December is just flying by so fast before we know it Santa will be stopping by with gifts for all on Christmas eve night as we are all asleep the friendly frogs have been trying to work hard to stay on the good list and make good choices.
Brr it's so cold outside, we're all so excited to play in the snow but due to the temperatures have been unable to do so hopefully next week we will get a chance because Friendly frogs are excited to make a classroom snowman whenever the weather allows us some outside time.
Tuesday December 17th we will be going on a field trip to the children's museum if your able to attend and help please let us know. We'll be leaving at 9:30 and returning in time for lunch at noon.
I was busy yesterday at nap time and was unable to post pictures so here are pictures of yesterday and today.

Monday December 9th,2013

Happy Monday everybody hope everyone enjoyed their weekend and stayed warm because brr was it cold outside. Enjoying the sunshine today hoping it doesn't melt all the snow away as we would like to get outside at least once this week to play in the snow. Today we were able to play in some fake snow that we made from baking soda and water the class really enjoyed that.
For art today we made some Marshmallow snowman and also had fun with our food project for the week making edible snowman. We used ritz crackers and vanilla icing for the snowman's body, chocolate chips for the eyes, M&M's for the buttons and pull & peel twizzlers for the arms. They tasted really yummy after lunch we goggled them up. We seem to be just speeding through December this week we will be having fun with winter projects making sleds, snowmen, ice skates, gloves and snowflakes. Next week we will be busy busy working on special Christmas projects we'll be exited to show them off when were done.
Good to see so many of you at Santa's workshop on Saturday hope the kids had fun and enjoyed meeting Santa to tell him what they would like for Christmas.
Remember Friday Night at 6:30 is Creation Kids winter program the kids are excited to show off all their hard work, hope to see everybody there :)
As snow is starting to fall remember to stay warm and drive safe and if the weather is really bad and schools are canceled creation kids will also be closed.

Wednesday December 4th, 2013

Friendly frogs enjoyed water painting a Walrus today.We had a pretty good day playing with all our friends and we are still making sure we practice practice our program songs next Friday will be here before we know it and we still need to work on a couple songs.
 Slowly we are starting to get our room in the Christmas spirit with decorations around the class room. Today I started a cute Santa Hat picture project that I will post in the room next week after I have everybody's pictures. Reminder Saturday is Santa's workshop from 9 am-noon and then parents night out from 3 pm-7 pm. Our foot print penguins from yesterday turned out pretty cute I was busy yesterday and didn't have time to take photos and post a blog so I'll add the penguin pictures today. This week is going by quickly tomorrow is already Thursday. I will not be at work Friday as my daughter and I have appointments but I'll see most of you Saturday night as I've noticed most of the class signed up to come its going to be fun! 23 days until Christmas!!!!!

Its finally December this year has gone by so fast, the new year is fast approaching. We're excited for the up and coming holiday and talked today about our Christmas lists today. Sounds like lots of you spent sometime this weekend putting up Christmas trees and decorations I couldn't wait mine was up weeks ago. We are getting really good at a few of our program songs but still need to work on a couple as the program is fast approaching also and we want to preform well.  I am really excited about this month as we will have lots of fun projects to do as Christmas gets closer.
Our weekly theme is Winter Animals today the class enjoyed painting a poplar bear with shaving cream mixed with glue so it looks puffy. They also enjoyed playing with tub toy animals in cold water(arctic water). One of our center is Legos this week because they start with the letter of the week L and with colored circle we were making patterns of 8 for our number of the week.
I hope everybody had a wonderful thanksgiving all the kids said they enjoyed it and had lots of turkey!
Go Hawks we managed to pull off a win Friday now it's the waiting game to see what bowl game we get the chance to go to.
