We had a great week in the friendly frogs room reading Dr.Seuss stories and doing Dr.Seuss art projects. The best part of our week was today the kids loved our Dr.Seuss Birthday party. We played several games in the big room with the other classrooms and then enjoyed the movie Horton hears a who before lunch. Through out the week we made different projects that had to do with the things in the Dr.Seuss stories we read. Next week were going to learn all about music and listen to several different types of music along with making some of our own musical instruments. I sent home a note but please if you have any extra boxes(shoe, cereal) or any toilet paper rolls bring them in THANKS.

Last week seemed to just fly by but that might be because I was only at work two days. Monday creation kids was closed due to the weather and Tuesday I took the day off to spend time with my boys on a school field trip. I got to enjoy Wednesday and Thursday with the class but had to miss Friday because my daughter was ill. Last week the classroom enjoyed learning about Fairy Tales and reading different Fairy Tale stories I don't have many pictures from last week but here are the ones I do.

Play Station Field Trip

Dental Week Feb.3-7

This week seemed to fly by fast and so has February so far. Due to the weather we had to cancel our field trip on Wednesday but we got lucky and were able to reschedule for Wednesday February 12th. This week the Friendly frogs enjoyed learning all about Dental. We talked about going to the dentist and how important it is to keep our teeth health so when need to brush them daily. For art this week the kids had fun making a healthy mouth with marshmallow teeth, painting a shiny tooth and decorating a tooth brush. Today the class really enjoyed building spinners out of some connector toys we borrowed from the school age class room. Next week our theme will be Valentines and we will be having a party on Friday Morning for Valentines day :) I've noticed that the blog isn't always read a lot so I will be taking photos through out the week and post a blog every Friday from now on.

Good bye January Hello Febuary

Good bye January hello February hope the new month brings less cold weather at least above zero temperatures. Everybody is doing a great job with their writing I've seen lots of progress since I started in the friendly frogs in November. Homework assignments are going well and I am proud of all the kids in the friendly frogs that work hard on their homework and return it weekly for new assignments. Yesterday we all had lots of fun at our homework party that we earned for reaching 30 assignments turned in we're already up to 14 keep up the great work. Next week we have a fun field trip Wednesday to the Play station in cedar rapids we will be leaving at 915 and returning to school right before lunch. The following week we will be having a valentines day party on Friday February 14th in the morning I'll post a sign up sheet soon for snacks and everybody is welcomed to bring Valentines for the classroom too. I will type up a class list and put it in each child's folder next week.
