10 Days Until Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving is just around the corner this week and next week we will be learning all about Thanksgiving. Talking about our favorite foods to eat, making turkeys and reading all sorts of Thanksgiving/Turkey stories.
Today we made Place-mats for our Thanksgiving lunch on Friday. Everybody is excited to be able to share lunch with Family on Friday.
The class really enjoyed playing dress-up today we spent the last 15 minutes of center time playing dress-up with all our friends. Today in our bible story we talked about how not only can we pray for ourselves but it's good to pray for others too. 
I am looking forward to taking some time after work one day this week to take my kids to see Santa I noticed he arrived at the coral ridge mall late last week. I get to see how my 6 week old does hopefully there is no crying. The class is already talking about there wish lists, this time of year is just the best all the time together with family and friends celebrating the holidays. I hope everybody gets the chance to give thanks to everything they are blessed with and gets to spend time with those close to them.

Lovely Weather

What great weather we are having today. We had a little bit longer recess today because of the great weather. The class enjoyed running around and playing outside, some of the kids where sweating by the time we came inside for lunch. Today we read Brown Bear Brown Bear What Do You See? then for art we made our own classroom Brown Bear Brown Bear What Do You See? book each child colored 1 or 2 animals from the book. The class enjoyed singing Head,Shoulders, Knees and toes today while we waited for big room time. We had another great day of practicing our winter program songs and everybody earned two marks today for their chart :) Next week and the following week we're going to be doing Thanksgiving as our theme learning and talking all about, thanksgiving and making turkeys, cornucopia, Indian headbands and getting ready for our thanksgiving lunch on Friday November, 22.

Good-Bye Ms.Kara :(

Today was Ms.Kara's last day she wasn't in our classroom much today but the kids did receive a special treat from Ms.Kara before she left for the day. Today the class enjoyed practicing our Christmas songs we're all getting really good and we're excited for the program on December 13th to show off our talent! Today for art we colored our letter of the week with different colors we've learned this week. Please remember if you haven't already to mark down how many people will be attending thanksgiving lunch with us next Friday. This week seemed to just fly by, I've really enjoyed to start getting to know all the children and cant wait to get to know them better as the weeks go by. Wednesday 11-13-13

Friendly Frogs had a good day today! Everybody is doing a Great! job practicing our Christmas songs.We all earned a M&M for doing so well after practicing our songs today before outside time. The water sensory table is a big hit at centers time this week, everybody loves mixing the different water colors together in cups to make new colors most of us are making lots of different shades of green or blue. The class was sad to see the snow all melting away they could not find much outside to make into snowballs. Tomorrow is our last day with Ms.Kara we will miss her but I am excited to get to know everybody through out the year and watch them all learn and grow. This week has been going very well and all the kids are adjusting well :). Hope everybody is also having a terrific week and continues to for the rest of the week.

Hi Friendly Frogs parents I am Ms. Brittney I will be taking over the blog now. I am looking forward to getting to know your children through out the year and watching them learn and grow. Yesterday and Today has went well with the new transition of me being in the classroom. I expect a little difference in behaviors as the children get used to the change, so far things are going very well and I expect them to continue to do well. Today the class enjoyed mixing red, blue and yellow to make different colors. Everybody seemed to really enjoy playing in the snow today and I think the class really looks forward to more snow and being able to make snowballs and snowmen. Most of the class liked building with legos today and playing the new tracing game on Ms.Kara's iPad. Through out the week if you have any question feel free to ask me or send a email. Today was a great start to the week and we welcomed our new teacher Ms. Brittney! It was so much fun to see how the kids interacted with her! I know this may be a rough first couple weeks for some of them but I know the end result will be amazing!!! You will all love her!

For some of you wondering...

We will be welcoming a little (but more than likely big :) ) baby boy into our crazy life! I feel very outnumbered with a husband, a toddler and a dog all being boys and now a second active little boy! There is always next time! With my time coming to an end in the Frog room and seeing all of you on a daily basis we will be sure to make a stop or two when he arrives! Braylon sure did have fun telling the news....
