a case of run away noses and yummy zoo food!

We have had a case of runny noses today! A BIG CASE! We have been working hard to realize when we need a kleenex, how to "blow" our nose and to always wash afterwards to help get rid of yucky germs. Please help us keep up the healthy practicing and help your child to practice these steps at home too! Thanks mom and dads!

Today we had another fun zoo day! We made some handprint giraffes as well as an extra pink flamingo! For some reason our dramatic play area has not gone over well so today after the first little bit of centers we changed it to a car center. Sometime you just have to be a crowd pleaser!! :)

We also made a yummy zoo snack too! We talked about how different animals eat different foods and since we love food we mixed them all together for a yummy zoo snack! We made sure to have fruits (blueberries and cranberries), peanuts for the big elephants, a treat for their tricks (marshmallows) and a grain food (cheerios) since we can not eat leaves like giraffes or panda bears! The only thing we were missing .... meat! I am sure you did not want that coming home in a baggie at the the end of the day though! We even worked on our counting skills as we took different number of scoops for each item and we of course tried each item too! Enjoy your zoo food!
