Today was all about sad...

We had a full review of our emotions today and used a fun little chart to show us how we may look when we feel that certain emotion. It is so much fun to see them figure out the face they want to make that goes with the emotion! There was a lot to learn so I am anxious to keep going through the week and see how much more they pick up. After we had our fun learning session we went through and asked everyone how they were feeling and why. Here is what I got...

I am mad because of mommy and daddy - Kinsley
I am happy, just happy - Allie
I am scared because of daddy's ladder - Madox
I am happy, happy - Stella
I am scared because of babies - Jade
I am nervous because of mom and dad - Aiden

We also focused on the feeling sad today and did a lot of sad face practicing. We read a book all about the sad feeling and as a class decided that Mr. Bear in our reading corner would be a good break place if we needed a minute to be sad because he is soft and gives good hugs! I want to make sure all your kiddos know it is OK to have all these feelings we are learning about we just have to find the right way on how to express them and deal with them! Like yesterday I took a quick snap shot of all their sad faces and asked what type of things make them sad. Below are their pictures but no one could give me a reason why they would be sad....that could be a good thing :)
